New England Noxious Weeds Authority

Walcha Council is presently a constituent council of the New England Weeds Authority.

Other Council members are Armidale Dumaresq, Guyra and Uralla. The County Council covers an area of 18,235 square miles.

New England Weeds Authority oversees the management, planning and inspection of land on private properties, state owned land and council roads and reserves. It also provides weed control services and information to the general public.
