Garbage Collection and Recycling Services

Last modified: June 12, 2009 - 12:32 AM

Wheelie bins and recycling are collected once a week and should be placed out on Wednesday nights for collection on Thursday mornings. Bins should not be removed from the premises to which they were delivered.

Recycling Services including a Recycling Centre at the town landfill site, are provided by Walcha Council.  Items that can be recycled are listed on the brochure below in the downloadable section.

Council has recycling bins for sale at reasonable costs.

Residents are requested to compost all suitable household waste, including plant material and lawn clippings.  Composting reduces the amount of landfill area required for disposal and therefore reduces costs to the community.

If you have enquiries or problems regarding your service, please phone Council on 67742515.
