Information for Becoming a Councillor
Residents considering nominating for the Local Government Elections in September 2008 can now obtain a guide outlining the role of Councillors.
The NSW Department of Local Government and the Local Government and Shires Association of NSW jointly developed Becoming a Councillor. This publication gives an overview of Local Government in NSW and outlines what a Councillor's role is and what to do to nominate as a candidate for the Local Government Elections.
