Development Control Plan

Last modified: June 12, 2009 - 12:27 AM

The Development Control Plan (DCP) covers all signs except those located on the property providing the service (eg. Shops in the commercial area).  These signs are covered in the Walcha Local Environmental Plan (LEP).

This DCP includes guidelines for applicants wishing to lodge a development application for an advertising structure and details the assessment criteria Council will use in processing the application.  It is important for applicants to be aware of the type of sign proposed as this assessment criteria varies on the type of advertising structure and the proposed location of the sign.

Assistance can be gained by contacting the Environmental Services Department of Council.
