Director Environment & Development

Council is searching for an experienced Local Government Professional to fill our Director Environment and Development role. The position is a full time permanent role and is a member of our executive team. The successful applicant will bring demonstrated experience relating to development, leadership and management of local government environmental and planning functions. They will have a strong work ethic, demonstrated capabilities and be a trusted and committed part of our leadership team. This position reports directly to the General Manager and is accountable for the Environment and Development portfolio including health and building surveying, town planning, environmental planning, animal control, and other service delivery functions of Council.

The salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020, Executive Band 4. Council is an EEO employer, offering flexible working arrangements and is a smoke free workplace.
