Rural Address Signage
Uniform signage has been identified as a need for emergency vehicles to locate properties easily.
Walcha Council would like to encourage all rural households to display a rural address sign. To do so Council is offering all residents of Walcha Council area the opportunity to order their sign at a cost of $345. Council will take care of the rest, ensuring all signs are made and erected in accordance with the Australian Standards.

One of the Coordinators projects is to promote more Rural Address Signs to ensure emergency services are able to identify rural households, both day and night, when attending emergency calls.
For a limited time ONLY, Rural Address Signage is subsidised $100 less than normal price. This means until 1 July 2023 you will only pay $245 for your rural address sign instead of the 2022-2023 fee of $345. From the 1 July 2023 you will still receive a $100 off the 2023-2024 fee.
